Author guidelines

 

The editorial board of the Journal of the College of Basic Education for Educational and Human Sciences seeks to raise the impact factor of the journal in preparation for its entry into international scientific databases. Therefore, the Journal of the College of Basic Education for Educational and Human Sciences publishes research characterized by scientific sobriety, cognitive value, language safety, and documentation accuracy, according to the conditions listed below:                                                                                

 

1. The submission has not been previously published
   1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. Authors submitting to the journal should sign a form of not to submit the manuscript to another journal, nor should the manuscript have been published elsewhere in substantially similar form or with substantially similar content
3. The name of the researcher should not mention or any reference to him in the body of the research to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the arbitration process.
4. The research should be academic, and it meets the requirements of scientific research based on the scientific and methodological principles that are common in the writing of academic research.
5. Research pages should not exceed (25) pages, printed in 14 font size, font type used for Simplified Arabic, and Times New Roman font for English.
6. The researcher should write in both Arabic and English languages, the full  Title of the research , the name of researcher ( other researchers), her/his scientific title and degree, qualification, his/her scientific  specialization  and place of work .
7. Include the researcher(s)' email address under their place of work.
8. Tables and shapes should be included in their correct places, and should include the necessary headings and illustrations. The dimensions of the forms and tables shall not exceed the page size (11 cm).
9. The research must adhere to the accuracy of the documentation, the good use of sources and references, and the confirmation of the margins of the research and its review at the end of the research as follows:
10. Sources: The source is cited in one of two ways:
    1. The source shall be proven by mentioning the full name of the author, then the title of the book, then the name of the investigator or the translator, then the edition number, if any, the name of the publisher,  the place and the year of publication , the part, if any, and the page number
    2. The author's surname or last name, then his full name, the title of the book, the name of the editor or translator, then the edition number if any, then the name of the publisher, then the place and year of publishing, the part if any, and the page number.
11. When using journals (journals) as references to the search:
    1. The full name of the author of the article, the title of the article, then the name of the journal underlined, the volume number, the issue number, the issuer, then the date of issue, then the page number.
    2. The author's surname or last name, then his full name, then the title of the article, then the name of the journal underlined, then the volume number, then the issue number, then the issuer, then the date of issue, then the page number.
12. Margins are systematically included at the end of the research.
13. The abstract should be written in both Arabic and English. the number of the abstract words is not to exceed 200 words. The abstract should include the following elements: the research issue, significance, objectives, hypotheses, methodology, results, conclusion , recommendation and suggestions
14. Keywords are written in both Arabic and English. No more than 7 keywords.
15. All non-English sources (including Arabic) should be translated into English, keeping the list written in the original language.
16. If Arabic sources have an authorized English translation, it should be adopted, while sources that do not have an authorized English translation (e.g. Al-Kafi) are translated phonetically, i.e. the source is written in English letters (Al-Kafi).
17. Arrange references alphabetically in both Arabic and English according to APA system
18. Provide a brief biography of the researcher not exceeding 4 lines in a Word file in a separate Word document from the research on the same disk.
19. All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be subjected to plagiarism detection software Turnitin before assigning to reviewers. If the results higher than the accepted rate, it will be rejected .
20. The research will first be evaluated by the editor to determine the eligibility of the research for refereeing. In the case of his/her apology for the evaluation, the editorial board should be notified without giving reasons
21. The journal uses confidential reviewers to indicate the suitability of the research for publication, as the research submitted for publication is presented to two specialized, independent referees from inside and outside Iraq, who are selected in absolute confidentiality, in addition to presenting the research to a linguistic expert to assess its linguistic validity.
22. Research that the evaluators suggest modifications to be suitable for publication will be returned to the authors to make the necessary modifications.
23. Opinions expressedby the authors in their research do not  reflect the opinion of the Journal
24. For researchers from outside Iraq, no fee is required for the accepted articles.
25. The Iraqi researchers should pay an amount of 120.000 ID. after the approval of publishing 
26. An additional charge of 1000 IQD is applied for each extra page exceeded the standard (25) pages
